Shopping for a car in Cedar

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

A test drive that lasts

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

Buying smart in Ontario

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Bridging the gap

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

Where we work

There is no CarmaCars office, lot or branch in Cedar. About 554 km separate our location in Toronto and Cedar, far past our 250 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Cedar? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Tell us what you need in Cedar, and a person will say straight away whether it is something we can do. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
