Buying a car in Chatfield

Auto Loans in Chatfield: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them, but we can still be useful. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer.

A buyer's checklist

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

Bridging the gap

A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives.
