Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

A test drive that lasts

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. You can collect the car from us for free, or have it delivered to Cheapside.

What to check before you buy

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

A car meanwhile

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.
