Buying a car in Cherry Mountain

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Try it for a week first

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Questions to ask

Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

A car meanwhile

Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
