Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

A buyer's checklist

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

A car meanwhile

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.

Honest about Cold Spring

There is no CarmaCars location in Cold Spring; everything we do starts in Toronto. With Cold Spring about 2,168 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Need something in Cold Spring? Send a request and a person replies with an honest answer. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.
