Buying a car in Collis

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Before you sign

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches.

A car meanwhile

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Before you plan

CarmaCars has no branch in Collis. We rent from one location in Toronto. The distance is about 1,370 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

Shopping in Collis? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Collis if you like. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
