Shopping for a car in Commerce

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Drive it like you own it

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence.

What to check before you buy

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used.

A car meanwhile

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

CarmaCars and Commerce

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
