Buying a car in Comstock

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Comstock, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

A buyer's checklist

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

While you shop

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

Our reach

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Comstock. We cover about 250 km around Toronto; at about 1,648 km, Comstock is outside that.

For buying in Comstock, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. If you are unsure whether we can help with Comstock, ask; we answer plainly. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
