Auto Loans for Cottage

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Questions to ask

Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

While you shop

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one.
