Buying a car in Darwin

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

A test drive that lasts

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Checks worth doing

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

Between cars

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.

Where we are

Plainly: we do not have a location in Darwin. CarmaCars is a Toronto company. Darwin lies about 854 km from our location in Toronto, well beyond our 250 km delivery area.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Darwin? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you want to check something for Darwin, send a request; a person replies honestly. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
