Shopping for a car in Dasher

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Try it for a week first

Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class.

What to check before you buy

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

While you shop

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.

The short answer for Dasher

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Dasher is outside our area. With Dasher about 1,488 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

For buying in Dasher, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
