Auto Loans for Derby

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Questions to ask

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

While you shop

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.

Distance, honestly

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Derby. About 1,154 km in a straight line separate Derby from our location in Toronto; our delivery stops at about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Tell us what you are planning in Derby, and we will say what we can and cannot do. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
