Buying a car in Derry

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Derry, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Questions to ask

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

While you shop

A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.
