Buying a car in Dixie

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Dixie, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Try it for a week first

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Questions to ask

Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

A car meanwhile

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Our area and Dixie

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in Dixie. We deliver within about 250 km of Toronto. Dixie, about 1,209 km away, is beyond that.

Shopping in Dixie? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Ask us about Dixie in a request; a person answers honestly. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.

One more step

Send a request to rent the model you are thinking of buying.
