Shopping for a car in Doty

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

A test drive that lasts

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Questions to ask

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

Between cars

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.

Renting from Toronto

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Doty; we work from Toronto. With Doty about 640 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

Shopping in Doty? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you are unsure whether we can help with Doty, ask; we answer plainly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.

One more step

Send a request to rent the model first, or ask us what we can do.
