Shopping for a car in Eagle

Looking to buy? CarmaCars rents cars instead, which makes a test week easy. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

Questions to ask

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Bridging the gap

A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.

Where we are

We have one location, in Toronto, and none in Eagle. Our deliveries stop at about 80 km from Toronto; Eagle is roughly 1,583 km away.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. For buying in Eagle, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Eagle if you like. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
