Shopping for a car in Ebenezer

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Questions to ask

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

A car meanwhile

Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
