Buying a car in Electra

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

Questions to ask

Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

Before your next car arrives

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere.
