Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads.

Before you sign

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Bridging the gap

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.

Before you plan

We are a Toronto company with no office or lot in Elmo. Our deliveries stop at about 250 km from Toronto; Elmo is roughly 1,374 km away.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Elmo? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Ask us about Elmo in a request; a person answers honestly. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.
