Shopping for a car in Fairmount

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Drive it like you own it

A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

What to check before you buy

Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

Between cars

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Toronto based

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Fairmount is outside the area we serve. Measured in a straight line, Fairmount is about 2,672 km from our location in Toronto; we deliver within about 250 km.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Shopping in Fairmount? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Still have a question about Fairmount? Ask in a request, and we answer plainly. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.
