Buying a car in Farside

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Questions to ask

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Bridging the gap

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.

Renting from Toronto

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Farside; we work from Toronto. With Farside about 538 km from Toronto, it is outside the 250 km we cover.

Shopping in Farside? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. For anything about Farside, a request reaches a person who answers honestly. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
