Buying a car in Fergus

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Drive it like you own it

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

What to check before you buy

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired.

Bridging the gap

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

Renting from Toronto

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Fergus is outside the area we serve. At roughly 3,523 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, Fergus is outside our delivery area.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Questions about Fergus? Send a request and a person answers honestly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
