Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

If financing for a car is what you need, know first that CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them; here is what we can do. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

A test drive that lasts

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Checks worth doing

Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car.

Between cars

Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush.
