Buying a car in Foster Junction

If financing for a car is what you need, know first that CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them; here is what we can do. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Questions to ask

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches.

While you shop

A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.
