Buying a car in Fowler

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

A buyer's checklist

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

Bridging the gap

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Before you plan

We are based in Toronto; Fowler is not somewhere we have a location. Fowler is about 736 km from central Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 80 km we deliver to.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Send a request with what you need in Fowler, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.

Ready when you are
