Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

Buying smart in Ontario

Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

A car meanwhile

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.
