Shopping for a car in Hardwick

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

Questions to ask

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price.

A car meanwhile

There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars.
