Shopping for a car in Havenside

Here is the honest answer for buyers: CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Rent for a weekend to answer the big question: is this the right car? Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

A buyer's checklist

A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

Before your next car arrives

Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

Before you plan

Havenside is not an area we serve directly. CarmaCars is based in Toronto. Havenside lies about 1,537 km from our location in Toronto, well outside our delivery area of about 250 km.

Shopping in Havenside? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Send a request with what you need in Havenside, and we reply plainly, even when the answer is no. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
