Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Drive it like you own it

You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

Checks worth doing

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

Bridging the gap

Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week.

Honest about High Point

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in High Point. About 542 km from our location in Toronto, High Point is too far for our delivery area of about 250 km.

If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Shopping in High Point? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Send a request about High Point, and we reply with a clear yes or no. Prices here are in Canadian dollars, not US dollars.
