Shopping for a car in Highland

Shopping for a car in Highland? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

A test drive that lasts

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

Questions to ask

Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

Before your next car arrives

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Honest about Highland
