Buying a car in Hopper

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other.

Before you sign

Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts.

Bridging the gap

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one.

What CarmaCars covers

There is no CarmaCars location in Hopper; everything we do starts in Toronto. The straight-line distance from our location in Toronto to Hopper is about 1,019 km, and we deliver within about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Questions about Hopper? Send a request and a person answers honestly. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
