Buying a car in Isabel

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

Try the car with the people who will ride in it most. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Questions to ask

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

Bridging the gap

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Use a rental to try a different kind of car before you commit to one. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

What we cover

We are based in Toronto; Isabel is not somewhere we have a location. We deliver within about 80 km of Toronto. Isabel, about 1,753 km away, is beyond that.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Ask us about Isabel in a request; a person answers honestly. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

Next step

Tell us the model and the dates, and we reply with an offer.
