Auto Loans in Ivanhoe, NY

Shopping for a car in Ivanhoe

CarmaCars does not sell cars, but before you buy one in Ivanhoe, a short rental can answer questions a test drive cannot. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

A buyer's checklist

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package.

A car meanwhile

Waiting for a car on order? A monthly rental covers the wait, up to 365 days a booking. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.
