Buying a car in Johnson Corner

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Try it for a week first

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. You can rent for a week, or up to 365 days, and nothing is charged until we confirm and you approve.

Checks worth doing

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy.

Before your next car arrives

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives.
