Shopping for a car in Keith

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Why rent first

Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Questions to ask

Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit.

Between cars

Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure.
