Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

If financing for a car is what you need, know first that CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell them; here is what we can do. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes.

Before you sign

Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

While you shop

Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive.

Before you plan

CarmaCars has no branch in Lanham. We rent from one location in Toronto. Lanham is about 1,513 km from our location in Toronto in a straight line, beyond the 250 km we deliver to.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. If you want to check something for Lanham, send a request; a person replies honestly. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, before tax.
