Buying a car in Lima

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Why rent first

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

Buying smart in Ontario

Check the date on the tires and the condition of the brakes. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose.

Between cars

Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

The short answer for Lima

We do not have a location in Lima; CarmaCars works out of Toronto. About 1,762 km in a straight line separate Lima from our location in Toronto; our delivery stops at about 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you still want to ask about Lima, send a request; we would rather say no than overpromise. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.

Next step

Ask about renting first, and buy with a clear head.
