Auto Loans for Lock Five

CarmaCars does not sell cars or arrange loans; we rent cars, which helps when you are deciding. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Why rent first

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags.

What to check before you buy

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Have a mechanic inspect a used car before you buy it, at a shop you choose. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN.

Bridging the gap

There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Renting while you shop lets you compare cars without pressure. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

Our reach

CarmaCars operates from a single location in Toronto, so Lock Five is outside our area. Delivery covers about 250 km around Toronto; Lock Five is about 1,444 km away.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. A request about Lock Five gets an honest answer from a person. Note that our prices are shown in Canadian dollars.
