Buying a car in Lost Forest

Shopping for a car in Lost Forest? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out.

Rent it before you buy it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. A rental lets you judge fuel use for yourself, on your own routes. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing.

What to check before you buy

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Between cars

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.
