Buying a car in Maxwell

CarmaCars is a rental company. We do not sell, finance or lease cars, but we can help you try one before you do. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is.

What to check before you buy

Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car.

Bridging the gap

You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. Sold your car already? Rent by the week while you shop for the next one. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.
