Shopping for a car in Mayday

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Drive it like you own it

If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Testing the car for a week shows how it handles your parking, your passengers and your bags. Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign.

Before you sign

Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price.

While you shop

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. A rental keeps you driving if your old car sells sooner than planned.

Toronto based

CarmaCars has a single location, in Toronto. Mayday is outside the area we serve. We deliver within about 250 km of Toronto. Mayday, about 1,500 km away, is beyond that.

For buying in Mayday, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Send a request about Mayday, and we reply with a clear yes or no. Our prices are in Canadian dollars, with tax added in the offer.
