Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

Renting the model you are thinking of buying, for a day or a week, is a real test drive on your own roads. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence.

Questions to ask

Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car. In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

A car meanwhile

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing.

What CarmaCars covers
