Buying a car in Minerva

CarmaCars is a rental company, so we do not sell cars; renting one first is how we help buyers. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

Try the car on a highway drive, a grocery run and a tight parking spot before you sign. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel.

Checks worth doing

Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Read the contract before you sign, and ask about every fee you do not understand.

A car meanwhile

There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

Where we are

Everything CarmaCars does starts from Toronto, and we have no presence in Minerva. The distance is about 1,445 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. For buying in Minerva, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. Unsure? Send a request about Minerva, and we answer plainly. Every rate on this site is in Canadian dollars.
