Shopping for a car in Mitchell Crossroads

CarmaCars does not sell cars. We rent them, which makes us a good place to try a model before you buy. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Drive it like you own it

A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

A buyer's checklist

For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Ask whether the car has been in an accident and how it was repaired. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Look at real fuel use for the model, not only the advertised figure.

Between cars

Need a car for a road trip before you buy? Rent one for the trip. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale.

Where we work

Our only location is in Toronto; Mitchell Crossroads is outside the area we serve. The distance is about 776 km in a straight line, more than our delivery area of 250 km.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. For buying in Mitchell Crossroads, local dealers and private sellers are where to look. We would rather tell you no than overpromise, so ask about Mitchell Crossroads if you like. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
