Shopping for a car in Moorefield

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. If you are torn between two models, rent one, then the other. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car.

Questions to ask

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Ask your insurer for a quote on the exact model before you commit. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN.

Bridging the gap

Selling privately can take time; a rental means no rush. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. Rent the kind of car you plan to buy while you shop for it.

Before you plan

To be clear: CarmaCars rents cars in the Toronto area, not in Moorefield. Delivery covers about 250 km around Toronto; Moorefield is about 1,167 km away.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Shopping in Moorefield? A rental from Toronto only makes sense if your trip starts here. Ask us about Moorefield in a request; a person answers honestly. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the offer shows the tax.
