Shopping for a car in Nicholson

CarmaCars rents cars and does not sell, lend or lease, but renting first is a smart step before buying. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Try it for a week first

A week of normal life with the car is the best test drive there is. Renting first means you buy knowing the car, not guessing. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you.

A buyer's checklist

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. Check the tires and brakes: replacing them adds to the real price. Make sure every warning light goes out after the car starts. Ask for a test drive on the highway as well as in town.

Between cars

A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels. A rental can carry you through the paperwork of a private sale. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.
