Buying a car in Oregon

CarmaCars is not where you buy a car, but it can be where you try one first. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card.

Why rent first

A week of your own driving tells you more than twenty minutes with a salesperson: the commute, the parking, the fuel. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits. A rental shows you the small things: the seat after an hour, the blind spots, the trunk with your stroller in it.

A buyer's checklist

Find out whether the car has open recalls before you agree on a price. Confirm the ownership and that no money is still owed on the car. Compare the total cost, not only the monthly payment: interest, fees and insurance add up. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

Before your next car arrives

Rent by the week while you compare, and stop the day your next car arrives. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed. There is no long contract, so a rental fits around any purchase date.

Our area, and Oregon

Plainly: we do not have a location in Oregon. CarmaCars is a Toronto company. Oregon is about 1,509 km from our location, and our delivery area is about 250 km.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Need something in Oregon? Send a request and a person replies with an honest answer. Every price here is in Canadian dollars.
