Buying a car in Otranto

To be upfront: CarmaCars is a rental company and does not sell cars or arrange loans. Banks and credit unions arrange car loans; CarmaCars does not, but we can rent you a car while you sort one out. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

A test drive that lasts

Many buyers rent the car they are considering for a weekend before they visit a dealer. Renting the model first is a simple way to avoid buying the wrong car. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence.

Checks worth doing

In Ontario, a private seller must give the buyer a Used Vehicle Information Package. A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive.

A car meanwhile

Weekly and monthly rates make a rental a sensible bridge between cars. You can switch to a different car at the end of a booking, which helps if you are comparing. A rental means you never have to rush a purchase because you need wheels.
