Buying a car in Picardy

There is nothing for sale here as a rule: CarmaCars rents cars. Here is how that helps when you shop. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. If credit is the obstacle, a monthly rental is one way to have a car while you sort it out; renting is not a loan, so there is no credit check.

Rent it before you buy it

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. A few days with the car answers whether the seats, the space and the fuel use suit you. Take the car home, load it with your things, park it where you park, and then decide.

What to check before you buy

Drive the car on the roads you use every day, at the times you usually drive. For a used car, ask for the vehicle's service records and look up its recall history by the VIN. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Measure your parking spot or garage before you fall for a bigger car.

Before your next car arrives

If the purchase falls through, you still have a car to drive. Need a car while a dealer prepares yours? Rent one by the week. Between selling and buying, a weekly rental keeps the commute normal.

Reach and distance

You will not find a CarmaCars location in Picardy; we work from Toronto. Our deliveries stop at about 250 km from Toronto; Picardy is roughly 473 km away.

If you are in the Toronto area before you shop, rent the model from us there. Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. Write to us with the dates and the place, and we will give you a straight answer. Rates on this site are in Canadian dollars, before tax.

Next step

Ask about renting first, and buy with a clear head.
