Auto Loans: what CarmaCars does

Shopping for a car in Plainfield? CarmaCars is not a dealer, a lender or a leasing company. We rent cars. We do not check credit for loans or lend money; renting needs a licence, an identity check and a card. We are not a lender and do not arrange loans. A monthly rental can bridge the time while you arrange one with your bank.

Rent it before you buy it

If we have the model in our fleet, its page shows the rates; if not, a similar car gives you a feel for the class. Rent the model, take it on the roads you know, and decide with confidence. Bring the car seat, the hockey bag or the dog, and see if it all fits.

Buying smart in Ontario

A Safety Standards Certificate is needed in Ontario to register a used car you buy. Look for rust under the doors and around the wheel arches. Check open recalls with Transport Canada or the maker, using the VIN. Ask how many owners the car has had and how it was used.

While you shop

If the car you want is weeks away, rent one month at a time and stop when it arrives. A monthly rental keeps life moving while your financing is sorted out elsewhere. There is no long contract: each booking runs up to 365 days and can be renewed.

Honest about Plainfield

We are based in Toronto; Plainfield is not somewhere we have a location. Our delivery area ends about 250 km from Toronto, and Plainfield is about 1,703 km out.

Our rentals start and end around Toronto; a test week has to begin there. If you move to the Toronto area, renting the car you want to buy is easy. Still have a question about Plainfield? Ask in a request, and we answer plainly. Rates are shown in Canadian dollars.
